Statistics Team

Statisticians work closely with the clinical and trial management team ensuring a robust trial design.  They are responsible for the calculation of sample sizes, leading on the development of the Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP), contributing to the protocol and other associated trial documents and systems including the electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs). They contribute to data monitoring and oversight committee reports and at the end of the trial, they analyse the data and contribute to the interpretation, reporting and dissemination of results.

Health Economics Team

Health Economists primarily undertake within-trial economic evaluations. They ensure that studies/trials collect economic and quality of life data that can be used to profile the value of the new treatment.

Trial Management

Clinical trial managers/coordinators are responsible for the day-to-day management of clinical trials. They are experts in project management and possess detailed knowledge of ICH-GCP and ethical and regulatory guidelines. They monitor and report on the progress of the trial and collaborate with the Chief Investigator, Sponsor, and other experts within the trials unit to ensure protocol adherence. This ensures that the trial is delivered according to the proposed timeline.

Data Management

Data managers oversee all aspects of the data collection throughout a trial. They are responsible for building electronic data capture systems, resolving data queries, and supporting the generation of data outputs and reports. The main goal is to deliver good quality, robust data for statistical analysis. 

Quality Assurance

The quality assurance team ensures compliance with clinical trial regulations, policies and procedures. This includes risk assessments, auditing and writing/reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
