Patient involvement group

The group known as the Patient involvement group (PPI) is a group of people from the public who offer guidance to the research we conduct. It is essential we research issues that people find important, particularly for people with specific diseases or disorders.

HAPPI group

The Healthier Aging Patient and Public Involvement Group (HAPPI) is a group of individuals from diverse backgrounds who meet around 3 times per year to advise the Community and Health Research Unit and Lincoln Clinical Trials Unit. The HAPPI group help to shape the development of new studies and inform future bids for funding. They work with the research team on research proposals and help to make documents accessible to the public by advising on style and language.

When needed, the HAPPI group members help to recruit study participants and can undertake some aspects of a study. They also advise on communication and dissemination of the study results to the public.

We welcome applications from anyone who is interested in being involved with this group.
